What is your Life’s Trajectory?

By Mike Henry Sr.

What is your life’s trajectory? If your life continues on its present path, where will you end up? What result will you have created? And will your results be for yourself, or for someone else?

Do you ever wonder about questions like these?

Do you have goals for your career? Are you making progress? Are you on track? Have you created milestones, and daily actions or targets? Do you check yourself each day to make sure you reach your daily targets? Do you periodically adjust your daily targets or your life goals, to make sure they’re relevant and accurate?

I’ve never been very successful when it comes to working a life plan in the way I described above. But I still want my life to count. Fortunately, had I stuck to my plans from 30, or 20 or even 5 years ago, I wouldn’t be where I am today. God has taken me and my family through some strange and challenging experiences. But I believe he has worked his plan in my life for all my life.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 (NASB)

God works his plan. But because he gave us free will, we can miss out on the good works and the opportunities he intended for us. Today, in your workplace, or in your family, or in your community, he has a job for you. Do you even look for it? Or are you busy working on your business or your career? What is God’s purpose for you today?

How will your actions impact your world? Tweet this.

If you follow Jesus, God is your real boss. He has good works he’d like you to do today. Do you have any idea what his tasks for you are? Do you regularly ask? Does he often answer? In the end, our choices will dictate the impact we make, both in the temporal world and the eternal. How will your actions impact your worlds?
