If you’re like me, you probably don’t think of yourself as someone who serves money. I give money, but I’m also challenged by passages in scripture when Jesus is particularly challenging about money, too.
For example, in 2 chapters he will tell a wealthy man to sell everything and give it away. Are you ready to do that? I confess, I don’t trust Jesus enough to do that. I want to be quick to give, but there are times when I pause. So am I serving money?
Fortunately, God allows me to grow. I want to do a better job of being willing to give. I wonder what I miss because I won’t give. What do I miss out on because I’m not quick to give or share?
Today, I want to challenge us again. Do you have the guts to ask God where you need to give more or where you need to trust him more? I asked that as I wrote these notes, and as I record this. Lord, please help me be quicker to give and trust You, too.
What about you? Can you ask God to show you what to do with your money and then do whatever pops into your mind. I’m asking. It has been hard. Would you please follow up?
