Hiding From Danger – Proverbs 27:12

By Michael Henry Jr.

The passage for today is Proverbs 27:12. It says, “A sensible person sees danger and takes cover. The inexperienced keep going and are punished.”

This verse teaches us that it is important to be aware of the dangers around us and to take steps to protect ourselves from them. If we are not careful, we can easily get into trouble.

As Christians, we should be especially careful to avoid the dangers that can lead us away from God. These dangers include things like temptation, sin, and worldliness. If we are not careful, we can easily be drawn away from God and into a life of sin.

To avoid these dangers, we need to be constantly on guard. We need to be aware of our own weaknesses and the temptations that we are most likely to face. We also need to be careful not to let our guard down, even when things are going well.

If we are faithful to God and we stay on guard against the dangers that surround us, we will be able to live a life that is pleasing to Him. We will also be able to help others to avoid the dangers that can lead them away from God.

Let’s all be sensible people who see danger and take cover. Let’s not be inexperienced people who keep going and are punished. Let’s be careful to avoid the dangers that can lead us away from God and let’s help others to do the same.
