Mission Drift

Mission Drift: The Unspoken Crisis Facing Leaders, Charities and Churches by Peter Greer and Chris Horst was a challenging and encouraging read. In my own ministry with Follower of One, I want us to stay true to the mission. It seems some of this book isn’t directly aimed at early start-ups. But if we don’t heed the warnings in the book, we will repeat the same failures.

The authors point out how easy it can be for a ministry to compromise its early mission. We hope oncoming board members won’t water down the message, but inevitably that will happen unless we take some drastic steps.

I appreciated this book and would recommend it to anyone in leadership in a local church or faith-based non-profit.
