Stand Firm at Work: Knowing What You Believe

By Heather Shaffer

📖 “Remember Lot’s wife.” — Luke 17:32

She looked back—and lost everything.
In the workplace, it’s easy to get distracted by past mistakes, regrets, or the opinions of others. But God calls you to move forward with confidence, grounded in what you believe.

Reflection:

Knowing what you believe in your faith anchors you when challenges arise at work. It shapes your integrity, your attitude, and your response under pressure. When your convictions are clear, you won’t be swayed by comparison, fear, or doubt.
Celebrating testimonies of God’s faithfulness strengthens that foundation—it reminds you that He is trustworthy and active in every detail of your career and calling.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to stand firm in what I believe, especially in my workplace. Strengthen my faith when I’m tempted to look back or second-guess Your plan. Let Your truth guide my thoughts, my speech, and my actions today. Amen.

Call to Action:

Today, write down one truth you believe about God that strengthens your confidence at work. Speak it aloud when challenges come, and let that truth steady your heart as you move forward in faith.
