Work can be tiring and demanding. There’s always more on your to-do list than time in the day to get things done. So what motivates you to return day after day? Jessica shares how her perspective has changed about work since she participated in several mission trips. She is the daughter of Mike Henry Sr., founder of Follower of One. Growing up, she heard a lot about this concept of being a missionary in the workplace. But when she stepped into a supervisory position, that’s when taking her mission into the workforce became more relevant. How Can I Make a Difference in My Workplace?

Jessica Fletcher | Follower Of One

In the day-to-day tasks of work, it can be difficult to find ways to display God. Jessica learned unique ways to make a difference in her work through the Marketplace Mission Trips. She had been on some traveling mission trips but wasn’t sure what to expect when she wasn’t packing a bag and going somewhere. But during the mission trips, she was given a new task daily that helped her look at her job in a new way. Find out how prayer in her workplace has helped her become more aware of other’s needs and how she can be part of God’s plan to reach them.

Find Out How God’s Timing + Your Willingness to Step Out = a HUGE Impact

It’s hard to think of other people’s needs before your own. Maybe you feel too busy with emails and tasks at work to reach out to others. But if you take time to do small things to make co-workers feel like they matter, God can use it. It could be as simple as smiling or saying hello. Jessica felt led to write a note to an employee to thank her for her work. Listen to this episode to find out how long it took for that employee to find that note and how it impacted her at just the right time.

How to Get Support Through the Follower of One Community

In a world where so many people are being ostracized for their faith, believers must find community. The Bible says, “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” (Matthew 18:20 ESV) Jessica points out how in today’s technology-driven world, we can gather remotely. That’s why the online community is a great way to be in fellowship with like-minded individuals. It’s a safe place to go for prayer and support when you’re having difficulties. Are you in a workplace that’s not socially accepting of your faith? Join the online community today.
