Faith over Feelings – Hebrews 13:6

By SAM Morrison

Faith Over Feelings

Mark Batterson in Draw the Circle, gave Mike the idea that sometimes we need to stop telling God about our problems, and we need to begin to tell our problems about God. Mike mentions that Steven Furtick said this, and he may have, but after recording this episode, Mike re-read Draw the Circle and found it on Day 14.

In this passage we’re reminded that since God has said that he will never leave us or forsake us, then we can say, God is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? Do you remind yourself that your situation is in God’s hands? That promise frees us to focus on others rather than fearing for ourselves. Command your feelings. Don’t let your feelings about your life or your situation keep you from following Jesus’ instruction to glorify him by serving others today. You will experience his joy if you remind yourself that your circumstances are subject to God and not the other way around.
