Scripture:
“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.” — 1 Corinthians 13:1
Devotional Thought:
When we hear the word “economics,” we usually think of money, markets, or trade. But at its core, economics is the study of the movement of value. And 1 Corinthians 13 reminds us that without love, there is no value to move. Love is the currency God designed for His creation.
Economics is not a human invention—it is a divine principle. The first distribution of value occurred when God said, “Let there be light” (Genesis 1:2). In that moment, God set in motion the laws that govern the flow of value—light, life, energy, and provision. Since creation, these principles have been operating in nature, sustaining life and connecting creation in ways we often overlook.
As followers of Christ, we are called to participate in this divine economy. Every act of love, every word of encouragement, every act of service moves value into the lives of others. Your kindness, generosity, and faithfulness are investments in God’s economy that ripple far beyond what you can see.
In the workplace, especially as a social media manager, this principle comes alive in unique ways. Every post, caption, or comment carries influence—it can either add value or drain it. When you choose to communicate with integrity, empathy, and encouragement, you are moving God’s love through digital spaces. You’re not just managing content; you’re managing impact.
And when opportunities arise to speak for yourself in faith, do so with confidence and grace. Speaking truth in love—whether it’s standing for what’s right, showing compassion in a harsh thread, or using your platform to honor Christ—is a powerful investment in God’s divine economy. Love spoken boldly and authentically never returns void.

Reflection:
- Where in your life can you intentionally “invest” love today?
- How might your words or actions move value into someone else’s life—online or in person?
- In your professional influence, how can you align your communication with God’s abundance rather than fear, scarcity, or self-interest?
Action Step:
Identify one person or platform today where you can intentionally move value through love—whether it’s encouragement, prayer, service, or a message of hope. See this as an investment in God’s economy, trusting that your digital voice and daily actions can have eternal impact.
Closing Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for designing an economy of love that sustains creation and flows through our lives. Help me to see opportunities—both in person and online—to move value into the lives of others. Teach me to invest my words, actions, and resources in ways that honor You and reflect Your love. Give me boldness to speak for myself in faith, even in the workplace, and to use my voice and platform to multiply Your goodness.
May my life reflect Your divine economy, and may Your love multiply through me today.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
